The moment you stepped into the house, the view of garden framed by the window is right in front of you. You can feel the change of seasons and enjoy the beauty of nature. The garden is designed by Sano-zoen which is also in charge of many famous temple in Kyoto.

Bamboo and Straw

You can usually see mud wall in the Japanese traiditional house. But now mud wall became rare because of the taste of modern peple has change. By 100 years ago, the mud wall is like the art that the craftman made by hand. You can see there is bamboo and straw knitted into the construction and stuffed by the mud.
